Inaugural Homes of the Southwest Waterfront Tou

Advance tickets $20. Day of event tickets $25. Proceeds will go to Waterfront Village.

Ticket holders will pick up ID bracelets and walking maps at Headquarters which opens at noon. Tour participants must be 13 or older. Sorry, no dogs are permitted in the homes.

For years, the best-kept secret in DC was the Southwest Waterfront. It seemed only the locals knew about our beautiful neighborhood. But now, in-step with the rest of the city, our serene enclave is booming. Major attractions such as the DC Wharf and sports arenas are complementing our long-time anchors such as Arena Stage and the Maine Avenue Fish Market. Walking from our homes to a wide selection of world-class restaurants is now commonplace, but we are still able to maintain the spirit of our close-knit community. All proceeds will benefit the Waterfront Village.

DC State Fair

DC State Fair

  • Waterfront Station Washington, DC (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

The DC State Fair is a free showcase of the District’s agricultural and creative talents and a daylong celebration of all things homegrown. While the DC State Fair is inspired by time-honored state fair traditions—growing and gardening, animal husbandry, and deep-fried foods—it also honors the things that make the District of Columbia unique. This means the DC State Fair holds competitions to find the tastiest mumbo sauce, best honey, and most creative hula hoopers in the city; puts on a Pet Parade instead of a pig race; and works with local businesses and organizations that are committed to helping our community thrive.

The ninth annual DC State Fair will take place Sunday, September 23, 2018, at Waterfront Station in Southwest DC (375 and 425 M St. SW). Check www.dcstatefair.org for updates on the event.

Be prepared! Bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated during the event! DC Water will be on site with a filling station for all your H2O needs! You should also consider tucking a resusable shopping bag in your pocket. Bring your treasures home from the fair in a sustainable way, and help make the fair more green!
